Char’s “Chicken and Steak”:
Ingredients:
Chicken Breasts (marinated)
New York Thin Cut Steak
Jasmine Rice
Sweet Potato
Olive Oil
Lemon Juice
Soy Sauce
Brown Sugar
Garlic
Ginger
Directions:
Making Marinade:
In a bowl whisk 1/2 c. olive oil, juice of 1 lemon,
3 Tbs. soy sauce, 1/3 c. brown sugar, 1 tsp. crushed garlic, 1/4 tsp. crushed ginger.
Pour over chicken and steak
Allow to marinate for at least a 1/2 hour in refridgerator.
Grilling Chicken and Steaks:
Set grill on high heat.
Place chicken and steaks on grill. Close lid.
Cook each side 2 - 3 minutes, depending on thickness.
Allow meat to rest 5 minutes before serving.
Cooking Rice
1 c. jasmine rice into rice steamer
Add 2c. water, or (2 c. chicken broth, or 2 c. coconut milk)
Turn on steamer.
Fluff and serve.
